Fred Beam, Jr.

Obituary of Fred William Beam, Jr.

Billy Beam, Jr., the man, the myth, the legend, 57, of Howell passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 4, 2021.  He was born in Red Bank, and had lived in Middletown and Keyport prior to settling in Howell. Billy had the most charismatic, energetic, stubborn, and adventurous spirit. He was loved by all who knew him. Billy was the king of the Beam Crew raising six children who each carry a little bit of him in each one of them, As Billy would say, forever a beam, never a mouse. He was a proud ironworker with Locals 11 and 40, and every guy who worked with him had many tales of Billy Beam scaling the skyscrapers without a harness to get the job done. He lived life to the fullest and looked forward to his trips to Lake George. A true outdoorsman, Billy enjoyed quad riding, boating, and skiing.  He was very patriotic and loved the American flag and his country. Although our hearts are heavy, and we will miss Billy tremendously we take solace in knowing that he is reunited with his best friend Johnny Burkhardt.

Billy is survived by his wife of 18 years, Delaine Krist Beam of Howell; six children, Danielle, John Michael, Christele, Jacob, Will and Kylee Rose; parents, Dorothy Nelson of Lincroft, and Fred William Beam, Sr. and his fiancée Joyce Pizzichello of Hazlet; brother, Andy Beam and his wife, Debbie of Freehold; aunt, Martha Noble and her husband, uncle George of Middletown;  father and mother in-law, Steve and Star Krist of Howell; sister in-law, Jodie  Sauter and her husband, John of Colts Neck; brother in-law, Stephen Krist and his wife, Sommer of Howell; and nieces and nephews, Shaine, Jenna, Amber, Stephen, Andrew and Shelby.
