Obituary of Arthur James Reinitz, Jr.
Arthur James Reinitz, Jr., 78, of Howell, passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022 at CentraState Medical Center. He was born in La Crosse, Wisconsin, and was raised in Brooklyn, NY and Dumont, NJ. He later resided in Lodi, NJ before finally settling in Howell, NJ in 1986. Arthur worked as a Commercial Real Estate Broker and Developer for his company, AJR Commercial Realty. He was an avid runner for many years and was a life-long member of Gold’s Gym. He bravely served for the United States Army National Guard and was a true patriot and had a genuine love and pride for his country. He was a true historian and had an impressive knowledge of our country’s origins and progression. He had an absolute love and affinity for music and especially enjoyed The Beatles, The Doors, and The Police. He also loved to dance. Arthur always loved gathering with his family and friends, had the best, most infectious laugh, and always had a joke or a story to tell. Arthur thoroughly enjoyed his vodka, but always took care of himself and truly believed that health was wealth. He was always a sharp-dressed man, wearing a suit and tie for just about every occasion. His favorite movies were the entire Rocky series, and he also loved Clint Eastwood and watching old westerns. His absolute favorite shows were Married With Children and The Munsters; nothing made him laugh harder. Truthfully, his favorite thing to do was to laugh. Arthur lived his life the way he wanted to. In the words of Frank Sinatra, he did it “his way”. Arthur was a loyal friend and will be greatly missed by many. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. In the last years of his life, his relationship with God became stronger as did his relationships with his brother, children, and grandchildren.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Debbie; his children, Arthur J. Reinitz III and his wife, Jessa, Elaine Lago, Audra Stewart and her husband, Scott, Stacy Founds and her husband, Craig; his grandchildren, Kaeley Lago, Nicholas Lago, Aidan Stewart, Craig Founds, Layla Welch, Emma Founds, and Stella Welch; his brother, Robert J. Reinitz and his wife, Maryellen; nieces, Laura Reinitz and Stephanie Tenebruso; great niece, Samantha Reinitz; and great nephew, Sebastiano Tenebruso.
