Obituary of Regina M. Sullivan- Fusco
Regina M. Sullivan-Fusco, 94, of Freehold passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Friday, January 14, 2022. Regina was born in the Bronx and lived her whole life in Brooklyn until moving to Freehold in 1998. She was a telephone operator for NY Bell in New York City until retiring. Regina was a member of the 1st Doll Club of Brooklyn. A woman of faith, she was a parishioner of the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine and served as a Eucharistic Minister. Prior she was parishioner of St. Vincent Ferrer, Brooklyn and a member of their Rosary Society. Regina was truly a people person and was always out and about.
She was predeceased by her 1st husband, Arthur Sullivan and her 2nd husband, James Fusco; brother, Paul Weireter; and sister, Dorothy Sullivan. Regina is survived by her children, Dr. Stephen J. Sullivan and his wife, Donna of Wantagh, NY, Eugene “Gene” Sullivan of Freehold, and Marion A. Brady and her husband, Michael of Manalapan; seven grandchildren, Christine Pulgrano and her husband, Michael, Michael Sullivan and his girlfriend, Sydney Nemeroff, Arthur Sullivan and his partner Pax Das, Devyn Wetzel and her husband, Dr. Robert Wetzel, Nicholas Brady and his wife, Emily, Olivia Brady and her fiancé, Tommy Dillon, and Liam Brady and his girlfriend, Bianca Toto; and six great-grandchildren, Sofia, Anjelica, Robert, Ellamina, Maeve, and Indigo; brother, Edward Weireter of Lakewood; a sister, Joan Duffy of Syracuse, NY; sister-in-law, Catherine McCarthy of Gilbertsville, NY; numerous nieces and nephews; and her stepchildren, James Fusco and his wife, Christine of Long Branch, Bill Fusco and his wife, Dolores of Queens, NY, and Judy Friedmann and her husband, Rolf of Freehold; and step-grandchildren, Daniel Fusco, Larsen Fusco and his wife, Heather, Eric Friedmann and Erin, Gloria Vanderham and Gary, and Brian Friedmann and his wife, Kaity; and step greatgrandchildren, James, Anderson, Julia, Jacob, Cameron, Charlotte, Brooks, and Macallister.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township, NJ on Saturday, January 22, 2022 from 8:30 AM until the procession to her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township, NJ. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Brooklyn.
