Condolences
I have tried to find the words to express my feelings and memories of Susan. For once in my life I am speechless, and I can hear her say "Yeah, right" and roll her eyes. The video of pictures is an amazing tribute to Susan and her "family". We spoke many times about how easy it was for us to make our family our friends and our friends our family. That is what I remember the most about Susan. No matter how she was feeling or how much pain she was in, her door was always open to friends and family. She wanted everyone beside her all the time. She always started the conversation by asking "How are YOU?" As I did my usual complaining she would nod her head and try to ease my sorrow, my grief, my pain. Never once would she say that she had it worse, or why ME! She would just listen with love and understanding to my sometimes idle complaints. Then we would laugh for 1/2 hour about how much I love to complain! There will never be another Susan in my life. She helped me to be the person I am today. When I look back on my adult life I know there are a handful of women who I look up to; my role models, my strong, brave and selfless friends and family members. Susan is at the top of the list. My hero, my inspiration, my sister from another mother!!
You will always be on my mind and in my heart. Rest in everlasting Peace, until we meet again because you know I will NEVER change so you will once again need to listen to my complaining! I love you! Goodbye my friend.....
I'm so very sorry to hear about the passing of Sue. I met her over 35 years ago through Haysu. We traveled to Punta Cana together when we all turned 50 and I last saw her a few years ago when the 3 of us went to Atlantic City for several days. She was so upbeat despite the constant pain & struggle and just a fun person to be around. May she Rest in Eternal Peace and be free of her pain.
