Obituary of Edward J. Bootier

Edward J. Bootier, 83, of Freehold passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at home. He was born and raised in Jersey City moved to Hazlet before settling in Freehold in 2005. Edward was a member of numerous activities at Silvermead in Freehold. He was a master in the kitchen and was a true chef, he put his love in every dish he made. Edward enjoyed Fishing, Bowling, and Bocci. Trips to Atlantic City and multiple cruises with his wife, Linda by his side. He was a selfless hardworking man whose greatest passion was spending time with his family.

Edward is survived by his wife, Linda Bootier of Freehold; Five Daughters, Nancy D’Amato of Blackwood, Christine Valentino and her husband, Gary of Sayerville, Linda Rivera and her husband, Richard of Hazlet, Lisa Arroyo and her husband, Steve of West Deptford and Cheryl Bootier of Island Heights; Nine Grandchildren, Kimberly D’Amato, Mitchell D’Amato, Drew Valentino, Tyler Valentino, Steven Arroyo, Sarah Arroyo, Elizabeth Rivera, Laura Gallas and Megan Gallas; and brother, Roger Bootier of South River.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, January 27, 2022 from 3:00-6:30 PM with his funeral service to follow.  Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Friday, January 28, 2022 at 10:00 AM for his procession to St. Gabriel’s Mausoleum.
