Obituary of Aaron M. Schock

Aaron M. Schock, 34, of Asbury Park passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, January 30, 2022.  Aaron was born in Plainfield and was raised in Roselle and Freehold.  He had lived in many places like New York City and Boonton before settling in Asbury Park.  Aaron was a people person.  This led him into the restaurant business working as a server and bartender.  He started with Longhorns in Freehold then in Boonton and in Howell.  Most recently, Aaron worked at Firebirds Wood Fire Grill in Eatontown. He competed in Roller Derby and was known as “Dodger Rabbit”.   Aaron loved to travel, even driving cross country once.  With a thirst for the outdoors, he was an avid hiker and had hiked the Appalachian Trail. 

Aaron was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Sadie Schock and aunt, Pam Stokes.  He is survived by his parents, Lawrence Schock and Karen Sullivan of Pinetown, NC; two sisters, Hannah Schock and her wife, Candida Schock of Neptune; Robyn Sculthorpe of Richmond, VA; maternal grandparents, George and Linda Sullivan of Washington, NC; paternal grandfather, Harold Schock and his wife, Betty Storms of Jackson; uncle, Steven Schock and his wife, Margaret of Edison; aunts, Meryl Schoen-Noble of South Plainfield and Robin Storms of Far Hills; uncle, Mac Stokes of Greenville, NC; and many cousins.
