Obituary of Lois C. Anthony

Lois Anthony, 76, of Old Bridge passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Newark, raised in Irvington, and had lived in Spotswood before settling to Old Bridge in the 1970’s. Lois was caring in nature, which led to her success in her career as a Nurse for many years. She enjoyed cooking, tending to her own garden, and was an avid reader. Lois loved the beach, and was very active, especially playing sports like tennis and basketball. She would always look forward to Sunday dinners with her family. Lois will be remembered by her kind heart, gentle soul, and her ability to never stop fighting.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Richard Kenneth Anthony; parents, Charles and Catherine Klich; son, Richard Anthony; brother, Charles Klich; and grandson, Tony Schimmenti. Lois is survived by her children, Catherine Rhilander of Old Bridge, Joey Anthony and his wife, Lisa of Georgia, and Theresa Schimmenti and her husband, Robert of Jackson; 7 grandchildren; one great grandchild; her best friend of over 40 years, Kathy Frank; brothers, Tommy Klich and his wife, Cornelia and Kenneth Klich; sisters, Shirley Shuberda and her husband, Gene and Judy Layeski and her husband, Richard; and numerous nieces and nephews.
