Obituary of Marion C. Gardner
Marion C. Gardner, affectionately known as Snappy, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side.
Born in Newark, she grew up in Summit, NJ, lived in Sayreville, and finally moved to Freehold. After graduating high school, she started working for AT&T, holding many positions within the company. She worked there for 37 years, retiring in 1999. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, working on puzzles & trips to the casino. Snappy enjoyed spending time with her “lovey cat” Molly. When she was young, her father, gave her the nickname Snappy, which stayed with her through her 86 years, and provided a caring heart to everyone she encountered.
She is predeceased by her parents, Fredrick & Anna Maresch. Snappy is survived by her sister, Joan Maresch of Toms River. She is survived by her loving wife of 40 years, Deborah Reilly of Freehold. Snappy is also survived by her children; her son David Gardner of Toms River, her daughter and son-in-law, Christine & Scott Laurence, and her youngest son & daughter-in law, Shaun & Kelly Reilly. She cherished her 4 grandsons, Robert Vasquez, Conner Laurence, Andrew & Aiden Reilly.
