Obituary of Daniel Mattia

Daniel Mattia, 95, of Freehold Township passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township.  Daniel was born in Newark, and raised his family in Union before settling here in 1998.  Daniel served proudly in the United States Army as a rifleman and marksman during World War II, and then attended Newark College of Engineering, currently known as NJIT.  He enjoyed a successful career as President and General Manager of Lincoln Mold & Die Corp., Roselle until his retirement in 1991. 

Daniel is survived by his wife of 73 years, Vera Mattia of Freehold Township; sons, Robert Mattia and his wife, Teresa, Ronald Mattia and his wife, Patricia, and Raymond Mattia and his wife, Cynthia, all of Freehold Township; grandchildren, Raymond D. Mattia and his wife, Alexandra, Dr. Matthew Mattia and his wife, Lisa, Dr. Michael Mattia, and Daniel V. Mattia; sister, Sue Greco; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. 

All arrangements are private and under the directions of the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township.
