Marlene and I are shocked at the news of Aileen's death. She greeted us personally by name and with a beautiful smile when we came to the pool or to the clubhouse.

We will miss her as will everyone at Westlake who had the privilege of speaking to her and getting to know her.

The O'Rourke family of Ridgewood is so sorry to learn of Aileen's death. She and our daughter Clare O'Rourke Shackleton were close friends all through Somerville Elementary School and Ridgewood High School. We send our deepest sympathy to Aileen's husband, boys, and extended family. Her passing surely is much too soon, but she inspired and shared so much love in her life that her every moment was well and generously spent.

We who went to the pool at Westlake knew and loved Aileen. Even during the summer of 2020, when fear was high, Aileen’s smile brightened our day. She made every person feel special. She passed on her charm to Kyle who is also so special. We saw her at the concierge desk in the fall. Her bright smile cheered us on a cold day too. I cannot imagine not seeing Aileen again. This is so tragic. Condolences to her family who is suffering an unimaginable loss.

I am a Westlake resident and I liked Aileen very much. She was ALWAYS so pleasant to everyone that walked into the clubhouse. Always had a smile on her face and a nice word. I enjoy baking & this past Christmas I gave Aileen a few trays of my baked goods to share with her husband & 3 boys. I have NEVER done that before with any other people that worked behind the desk at the clubhouse. Aileen was a special person & the baking was my way of telling her She will be genuinely MISSED at Westlake.
