Obituary of Lois A. Kost
Lois A. Kost, 80, of Freehold Township passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was born in Neptune and had lived in the West Belmar section of Wall Township before settling here in 1997. Lois retired as a Bus Driver for First Student in 2006, previously known as Coast Cities and Laidlaw. She enjoyed watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune and talking on the phone. In the past, Lois could often be found camping through the summer and following Nascar races, especially the Pocono 500, with her late husband. She was a devoted Nan who was passionate about spending quality time with her loving family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Michael Kost; stepchildren, Linda Vuillenemoit and Helen Heard; and half-sisters, Marjorie Bennett and Patricia Cameron. Lois is survived by her children, Joseph Boywitt and his wife, Tammy of Neptune, Douglas Boywitt and his wife, Sarah of Coudersport, PA, and Joanne Lopez and her boyfriend, Richard Boucher of Freehold Township; stepchildren, Michael Kost of North Carolina, Diane Perry of North Carolina, and Dawn Morse of North Carolina; 23 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, March 27, 2022 from 12:00 to 4:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 11:00 AM funeral service at the Funeral Home on Monday, March 28, 2022 with the Rev. Regina “Reggie” Albert officiating.
