Obituary of Peter V. Segro

Peter V. Segro, 61, of Barnegat passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at JFK University Medical Center, Edison.  He was born in New York and had lived in Bergen County and Manalapan before settling in Barnegat in 2021.  Peter worked for EisnerAmper as an accountant and senior manager for over 23 years.  He enjoyed traveling, with the Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls and Las Vegas being among his favorites.  He was a football fan whose favorite team was the Jets, and always looked forward to going to games with his best friends and tailgating.  In his spare time, Peter loved to visit the beach or drink a glass of wine.  He had an impact on everyone who crossed his path, always touched people’s hearts, and was known for his friendly disposition and kind smile. 

Peter is survived by his spouse, Beata Segro of Barnegat; son, Peter Vincent Segro, Jr. of Old Bridge; stepdaughters, Kathrin Malukiewicz and Stephanie Malukiewicz of Barnegat; brother, Richard Segro and his wife, Jennifer; sister, Angela Lopez and her husband, Ricardo; nieces, Gianna Segro, Samantha Lopez and Alyssa Lopez; and nephews, Nicholas Segro and Ricardo Lopez.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, April 4, 2022 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 11:00 AM Funeral Service at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 5, 2022.  Interment will follow in St. Gabriel’s Cemetery & Chapel Mausoleum, Marlboro.  For information, directions, or to leave condolence messages for the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com
