Obituary of Frances A. Restituto

Frances A. Restituto, 93, of Freehold Township passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at home surrounded by loved ones.  She was born and raised in Brooklyn, and had lived in Howell before settling here in 2016 with her daughter.  She worked as a cashier at Pathmark Supermarket in Howell prior to her retirement.  She was devoted to her faith and dedicated to her patron saint, St. Anthony who is venerated as the patron saint for recovery of lost items.  Frances loved the simple things in life…..she loved to clean, to plant, to iron, and to take care of those she loved.  She enjoyed watching QVC, The View, The Golden Girls, and Impractical Jokers. She enjoyed spending time at the Howell Senior Center, and travelling to Florida with her sister Natalie and other widowed longtime friends. Above all, she was a devoted mother, grandmother, and aunt who will be missed by all who knew her.

Frances was predeceased by her husband, Anthony Restituto, Sr; her son, Anthony Restituto, Jr.; and her siblings, Natalie Sorvillo and her husband, Joseph, Mary Sanfilippo and her husband, Leonard, and Michael Grillo and his wife, Rose.  She is survived by her children, Catherine Kosin and her husband, Ivan of Freehold Township, Vincent Restituto and his wife, Clara of VA, and Robin Restituto of FL; grandchildren, Valerie Siragusa of Freehold Township, Peter Restituto of VA, Michael Restituto of AZ, and Steven Restituto of FL; step grandchildren, Matthew Kosin and Sam, both of New Jersey. Frances is also survived by nieces and nephews, Annie Fischetti and her husband, Richard, Catherine Farina and her husband, Luigi, Joanne Gembara and her husband, Joseph, Joseph Veltre and his wife, Marjorie, and Carmine Sorvillo; and many other family members and friends.She also was loved by her buddy, Princess.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 11:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Gabriel’s Roman Catholic Church, 100 North Main Street, Marlboro, NJ 07746 on Wednesday, April 6, 2022.  Interment will follow in Brigadier General Wm. C.
