Obituary of Nahren-gherel Ubushin

Nahren-gherel “Naya” Ubushin, 25, of Rochester, New York passed away at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, New York. She was born in Ridgewood and was raised in Short Hills and had lived in Vermont before settling to Rochester to further her education. Naya was a 2015 graduate of Millburn High School and went on to obtain her bachelor's degree in health science from the University of Vermont, she was currently attending the University of Rochester and was pursing a bachelor's degree in Nursing. While attending Millburn High School she was on the Varsity Fencing Team and was a member of the Medeo Fencing Club in Bridgewater. Naya was a talented pianist who once played in Carnegie Hall, she enjoyed all types of music. During her free time, she enjoyed playing tennis and was an avid reader. A friend to all, her vivacious and giving spirit will be missed by many.

She is predeceased by her father, Badrhn Ubushin in 2007. She is survived by her mother, Lyubov Ubushin of Philadelphia; grandmother, Nadia Ubushin of Toms River; aunts, Naya Ubushin of Toms River, Valentina Ubush and her husband, Alexander of Howell; and cousins, Danzan Ubush, Kemma Ubushin and Kira Ubushin.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, April 7, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.  Interment will follow in St. Vladimir's Cemetery, 316 Cassville Road, Jackson Township, NJ 08527.
