Obituary of Rosa Ivanac

Rosa Ivanac, 85, of Howell passed away at home on Saturday, May 7, 2022.  She was born in Trieste, Italy and immigrated to the United States in 1962.  Rosa settled in the North Shore section of Staten Island and lived in Florida for a period of time before settling here in 2017.  Rosa worked as an aide for Clove Lakes Nursing Home in Staten Island until her retirement in the late 1980s.  She loved to cook and travel.   Rosa migrated to Hobe Sound, FL in the winter months and was also a patron of Broadway theater.

She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Frank Ivanac in 2020; and her brother, Paolo D’Aprile.  Rosa is survived by her sons, Paul Ivanac and his wife, Carol Deighan of Old Bridge, and Peter Ivanac and his wife, Rachel of Freehold Township; grandson, Joseph Ivanac; and sister, Angela Camillucci of Trieste, Italy. 

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at 9:30 AM for the procession to her 10:30 AM Funeral Mass at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township.  For those that cannot attend Mass in person, the family invites you to participate via webcast HERE Interment will be private.  For information, directions, or condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com 0020
