Frank Patkus

Obituary of Frank George Patkus

Frank George Patkus, 79, of Jackson passed away peacefully on Monday, May 16, 2022 at home.  Frank was born in Newark and was raised in Union.  When married, he moved to Marlboro to raise his family and then retired to Jackson in 2013.  Frank was a manger for A.T. & T. for 37 years, retiring in 1994.  A man a faith, he was a parishioner of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Jackson and a former parishioner of St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church, Marlboro.  Frank is a member of the Knights of Columbus, Father McGivney Council #6392, Lincroft.  He was an avid reader and connoisseur of useless knowledge.  Along with his wife, they had a thirst for travel, either cross country trips by car, Alaskan cruises, trips to the Caribbean or being snowbirds in Stuart, FL.  Most of all, the beach has always called to him.

Frank was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Helen Patkus.  He is survived by his loving wife of fifty years, Arlene Patkus; his adoring daughter, Mary Patkus of Freehold; twin sisters, Susan Brockel and her husband, Paul of Little Egg Harbor and Marianne McCabe and her husband, Kevin of Scotch Plains; three nephews, Christopher, Andrew, and Gregory.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM with his funeral service to follow at 6:00 PM.  Interment will be private.  For those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choosing or send flowers to a deserving friend.  For information, directions or condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com
