Obituary of Charles E. Hart

Charles E. Hart, 80, of Freehold passed away on May 21, 2022, at his residence. He was born and raised in Macon Georgia in a little town called Villa Rica and had lived in East Paterson before settling to Freehold Township in 1971.  Charles was a welder by trade and worked for Brockway Glass before his retirement. He took solitude at his home and could be found sitting on his front porch swing admiring the view of all his hard work from the past 50 years. Charles relished in the beauty of his home, whether it was by planting a new tree or a garden bed filled with flowers, he took pride in his 4 acres of land. He was a great outdoorsman who enjoyed nothing more than being one with nature. Charles would frequent local auctions, Englishtown being one of his favorites. Most of all he loved his family and instilled good values in his children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews that have served them well. He will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

Charles is predeceased by his parents, Ned, and Irene Hart; Son, Barry Hart; Daughters Trina Hart and Janice McKinnon; Brother, Harold Hart and Sisters, Marion Humphries and Maxine Franklin. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Patricia Hart of Freehold Township; Daughter, Donna Morrison of Freehold Borough; Sons, Michael Hart and his wife, Malee of Tracey California, and Charles Jeffrey Hart of Freehold Borough; Eight Grandchildren, Elijah, Michael, Matthew, Sarah, Andrew, Joshua, Malena and Malecha; One Great Grandson, Isaiah Charles Morrison; Sister, Linda Blakely.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, from 9:00 to 11:00 AM with his funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM.  Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery & Chapel Mausoleum, 169 West Main Street, Freehold Township.  For those who desire, memorial contributions in Charles’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.  For information, directions or to leave condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com.
