Obituary of Gabrielle Dever

Gabrielle Dever, 100, of Jackson passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Bartley Health Care, Jackson.  Gabrielle was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY.  She raised her family in Fords and had lived in New Orleans briefly before moving to the Silvermead community, Freehold in 1997.  Gabrielle then settled to the Orchards at Bartley.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of V.F.W., Post 1352, Hopelawn.  Gabrielle was a former parishioner of the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, Freehold Township.  She was a seamstress, an excellent cook and baker and took great pleasure tending to her flower garden.  Gabrielle was a Mom, Nana, and Great Nana

Gabrielle was predeceased by her husband, Antonio LaGrassa; a son, Robert LaGrassa; and a granddaughter Sharon.  She is survived by her daughter, Maria Mitchell and her husband, Ed of Jackson; two grandchildren, Jennifer Wright and her husband, Johnnie of Freehold and Scott Mitchell and his wife, Ciri of Virgina; and three great grandchildren, Gabrielle, Brody, and Tyler.
