Obituary of Robert F. Delfino

Robert F. Delfino, 85, of Freehold passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch.  He was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and had lived in Staten Island, NY for 35 years prior to settling in Freehold in 1999. Robert graduated from Xavier High School in Manhatttan, NY and then served in the United States Army.  He worked on Wall Street his entire career.  Robert was an avid NY Mets, NY Jets, and NY Rangers fan and also loved spending time in Atlantic City with his wife.

He was predeceased by his parents, Cosmo and Louisa Delfino; first wife, Santa Delfino; and brother-in-law, Frank Caminiti.  Robert is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sonia Delfino; son, Robert J. Delfino and his wife, Marketa; grandsons, Robert Cosmo Delfino and Lukas Marek Delfino; sister, Marie Caminiti; nieces, Anne-Marie Falzone and her husband, Charles, Lisa Balsamo and her husband, Robert, and Susan Fodera and her husband, Joseph; and grand nieces and nephews, Christen Falzone, Marissa Kalarjian, Erica & Jillian Balsamo, and Matthew & Michael Fodera. 

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 9:00 AM for the procession to his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Mary Catholic Church, One Phalanx Road, Colts Neck.  Interment will follow in Moravian Cemetery, 220 Richmond Road, Staten Island.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Robert’s name may be made to Tunnel To Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306.
