Obituary of Santo J. Rizzo

Santo J. Rizzo, 79, of Freehold NJ passed away on Saturday, June 11,2022, at The Manor. He was born and raised in Staten Island before moving to New Jersey 22 years ago. Santo was the President of Altair Group Inc. He was an avid Yankee fan and enjoyed golfing, bowling, and playing poker with his buddies. Santo valued the time he spent with his family and the memories he made with them, they will always remember his cooking, especially his famous pizzas.

He was predeceased by his parents, Sebastian and Catherine Rizzo, Son in law, Frank Portelle. Santo is survived by his wife of 57 years, Angela Rizzo of Freehold; Daughters, Jeanine Portelle of Nanuet and Claudine Freda and her husband, Robert of Manalapan; Four Grandchildren, Thomas John, Valerie, Nicole, and Robert.

A Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, June 20, 2022 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home Tuesday, June 21 at 9:00 AM for the procession to his 11:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Ann Roman Catholic Church, 101 Cromwell Avenue, Staten Island NY. Interment will follow at Moravian Cemetery, 22205 Richmond Road, Staten Island NY.
