Obituary of Patricia B. Clift
Patricia B. Clift, 73, of Manhattan passed away on Sunday, June 12,2022, at Bellevue Hospital. She was born and raised in Staten Island and had moved to Manhattan at the young age of 19 where she settled in Tudor City, a place she called home for the last 50 years. She was a graduate of New Yok University where she obtained her MBA. Patricia was an extremely accomplished woman; she was one of the first female stockbrokers on Wall Street and later retired as the Director at the New York City Department of Design and Construction. She loved nothing more than sitting at Tudor City Park whether it would be observing her surroundings or simply just sitting on the bench reading a book, she felt at peace when she was there. Patricia had a heart of gold and adored her nieces and nephews; she never missed a milestone in their lives. She was enormously talented and gifted, she had many successes throughout her life and truly showed the world how strong she truly was, Patricia suffered from mental illness her whole life and never let her diagnoses get in the way of her of her goals and dreams. In her honor the family asks that if you always be kind to others as you never know what someone is going through or their struggles.
She is predeceased by her parents, Harold, and Marion Clift; Patricia is survived by her adoring family, Siblings, Thomas and his wife, Gerry of Freehold, Diane Thompson and her husband, David of Gansevoort, New York and Mary Clift and her husband, Joe Englanoff of New York; Nephews and Niece, Peter Clift and his wife, Lynn of Gales Ferry, Connecticut, Dr. Jennifer Clift and her fiancé Andrew Hovance of Manhattan and David Thompson and his wife, Tera of Tampa, Florida; Great niece and nephew, Andrew, and Katerina; Many friends from Tudor City.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 12:00 PM Funeral Mass on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 16 McLean Street, Freehold. Interment is private.
