Obituary of Eleanor Kamarad

Eleanor Kamarad, 85, of Howell passed away peacefully at home on Monday, June 13, 2022.  Eleanor was born on Long Island and raised in Babylon.  She had lived and raised her daughter in Queens before moving to Brick then onto Howell in 2002.  Elanor worked as a secretary for the League of Woman Voters, NYC.  She was a loving mother, and adoring grandmother (Oma).  She had an incredible zest for life, Eleanor loved the arts, music, fashion and especially old movies.  She was an avid animal lover and had huge heart for abandoned animals and supported many animal organizations.  Eleanor was a history buff and very proud of her heritage.  Eleanor loved her family and especially her grandsons, Thomas and Patrick.  She made an impression on everyone she met and will be truly missed.

She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Kamarad in 1996.  Eleanor is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Brady and her husband, Michael of Freehold; two grandsons, Thomas Brady of Manhattan and Patrick Brady of Freehold; a sister, Jeanette Azukas and her husband, Robert of Texas; nephew, James Azukas and his wife of Michelle of Upstate New York; and a niece, Lesley Matthews and her husband, Christopher of Texas.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, June 17, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.  Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 8:30 AM for the procession to her 9:30 AM Funeral Mass at the Church of St. Veronica, 4215 Route 9 North, Howell.  For those who cannot attend in person, you may participate via the funeral home’s webcast HERE.  Inurnment will be in Pinelawn Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY at the convenience of the family.  For those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to Jersey Shore Animal Center, 185 Brick Boulevard, Brick, NJ 08723.  For information, directions or condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com.
