Obituary of Edward Cafiero, Sr.

Edward Cafiero, Sr., 93, of Brick passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Meridian Subacute Rehabilitation Nursing Home, Wall Township. He was born and raised in Brooklyn and had lived in Palisades Park and Carteret before settling to Brick in 1996. Edward worked as a Manufacturing Engineer for CBS Toys and in his retirement for Vespia Goodyear. He proudly served in the United States Army, which led to his true patriotic nature. Edward enjoyed listening to country music, working on cars, fishing, and making stained glass art. He was known by all as Mr. Fix It. If someone had a problem, he was the man they would call. Edward was selfless and would always make time to help others. He was a member of the Old Guard of Greater Point Pleasant and the Men’s Club at Princeton Commons where he played Bocci.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Rosalie “Chickie” Cafiero; parents, Lawrence and Jessica Cafiero; and brother, Lawrence Cafiero. Edward is survived by his children, Donna Monush and her husband, Bryan of Freehold and Edward Cafiero and his wife, Susan of Scottsdale, Arizona; grandchildren, Joseph, Daniel, Alyssa and her husband, Mike, and Ryan; great grandchildren, Jack, Colin, and Emilia "Milly”; sister, Janet Jordan; brother, Richard Cafiero and his wife, Carol; sister-in-law, Carol Dispoto; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at the Funeral Home for the procession to his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Catherine Of Siena Catholic Church, 31 Asbury Road, Farmingdale.
