Obituary of Joan J. Kesicki

Joan J. Kesicki, 81, of Manalapan passed away at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township on Tuesday, July 19, 2022.  She was born and raised in Brooklyn and had lived in Staten Island before settling in Manalapan in 2008. Before her retirement, Joan worked in the activities department at Eger Nursing Home in Staten Island. She moved to Four Seasons at Manalapan and really enjoyed the community lifestyle; she was a champion pool player and was a member of the Billiard Club.  Joan was an avid ballroom dancer, pianist, and swimmer. She was very involved in the community theaters in Staten Island and Florida. Joan was very spiritual and studied astrology; she believed heavily in angels and had quite the display in and around her home This is what truly brought her comfort, she now is her family’s guardian angel.

Joan is predeceased by her husband, Ronald Kesicki; and brother, John Iside.  She is survived by her three children, Tore Kesicki of Manalapan, Ronald Kesicki and his wife, Susan Carmichael of Westchester, and Christine Bellino of Manalapan; seven grandchildren, Jacqueline, Robert, Taylor, Julia, Maxwell, Olivia and Alexander; great grandson, Oliver; and sister, Maryann Romolo of North Carolina.

 A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, July 25, 2022, from 4:00-8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 11:00 AM Funeral Mass on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at Our Lady Star of the Sea, 5411 Amboy Road, Staten Island, NY 10312. Entombment to follow in Resurrection Cemetery, 361 Sharrott Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10309.
