Obituary of Anna Heron

ANNE R. HERON, 82, of FREEHOLD, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mrs. Heron was born in Scranton, Pa. and had lived in Clifton, and Garfield before moving to The Villages 13 years ago. Mrs. Heron worked for Guardian Answering Service, Freehold. Prior to that, she was the Director of Communications at St. Joseph's Medical Center, Paterson, and was previously associated with Passaic General Hospital. She was a former member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Clifton, and currently a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Freehold. She was predeceased by her first husband, Edward A. Heron Sr., in 1966; her second husband, Stephen Denistran, in 1998; and a son, Timothy M. Heron, in 2004. Surviving are three sons, Patrick Heron of Detroit, Mich., Stephen Heron and his wife Geraldine of Chula Vista, Calif., and Edward Heron Jr. and his wife Claire of Beverly; six grandchildren, Sara, Daniel, Megan, Kevin, Timothy, and Grace; a sister-in-law, Jeanne M. Ward of Elmwood Park; and godchild, Margaret Tuman of W. Palm Beach, Fla. Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 9 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Paul Catholic Church, Clifton. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Paterson.
