Obituary of Dameion D. Simon

Dameion D. Simon, 50, of Levittown, PA passed away on Friday, August 26, 2022 at Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center, New Brunswick.  He was born in Guyana, South America and lived in Canada before moving to New Jersey where he lived in Flemington, Edison, and Woodstown eventually settling in Levittown, PA this year.  A true outdoorsman, Dameion could be found fishing, camping and enjoying wildlife.  He loved to devour barbecue and listen to music.  Dameion’s favorite pastime was spending time with his brothers and gathering with his family.  Of all of his accomplishments, he was most proud of his daughter, Alexia Simon.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Francis and Valdrina Waithe; aunt, Joy Robertson; and uncle, Francis Waithe.  Dameion is survived by his daughter, Alexia Simon of Avenel; parents, Stephen and Sandrine Alves of Anna, TX; brothers, Stephen Alves  and his wife, Latura of Atlanta, GA,  Dennis Simon of MD, Adrian Alves and his wife, Janelle, Dorian Alves and his wife, Kim, and Jonathan Alves, all of TX; girlfriend, Traci Kromka of Levittown, PA;  and aunts and uncles, Megan Bynoe and her husband, Alwyn of Orlando, FL, Kenrick Waithe and his wife, Penelope of White Plains, NY, Dennis Waithe and his wife, Francoise of Ottawa, Canada, Verity Robertson of Matawan; Bernadette Daw and her husband, Errol of Toronto, Canada and George Waithe of Ontario, Canada.  He was blessed with too many cousins and friends to count, all of whom he loved dearly.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, September 4, 2022 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM with his funeral service to follow at 5:00 PM.
