Obituary of Virginia C. Brown

Virginia C. “Ginny” Brown, 79, of Freehold passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune.  Ginny was born in St. Mary’s Hospital, Hoboken and had lived in Nutley until moving to Freehold in 2008.  She worked in guest services at Target in Clifton and Manalapan until her retirement.  Ginny had a passion for cooking and a thirst for games and puzzles such as solitaire, crosswords, and Jeopardy on TV.  She had traveled as far as Hawaii and Italy and the Caribbean.  Ginny was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was predeceased by her parents, James J. And Kathleen Morley.  Ginny is survived by her daughter, Michele Popolizio and her husband, Pasquale of Freehold; a son, Clifford Brown and his wife, Haydee of Florida; eight grandchildren, Pasquale Popolizio, Jr., Gennaro Popolizio, Natalia Popolizio, Massimo Popolizio, Yesenia Brown, Yasmine Brown, Nicholas Brown, and Thalia Brown; three great- grandchildren, Landen Brown, Avery Brown, and Antonio Diel; and her dear niece-in-law, Theresa Klotz.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, September 16, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:30 PM with her funeral service to follow at 7:30 PM.  For those who cannot attend in person, you may participate via the funeral homes webcast, HERE.  Interment will be private.  For those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2310 Route 34, Suite 1D, Manasquan, NJ 08736.  For information, directions or condolence messages to the family please visit, claytonfuneralhome.com.
