Obituary of Antonio Ilardo

Antonio Ilardo, 87, of Freehold passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. He was born in Torre Del Greco, Italy, moved to the United States in 1972, and had lived in Brooklyn before settling to Freehold in 2006. Antonio worked as an Owner for A & S Construction in Brooklyn for many years. He enjoyed making wine and cooking, especially gnocchi from scratch. Antonio was an avid Soccer fan and would always route for Napoli. He loved spending time with his family and creating memories during the holidays. Antonio will be remembered for his helpful nature, friendly attitude, and his constant ability to help anyone in need.

He was predeceased by his wife, Domenica Ilardo; grandson, JJ, brother, Ciro Ilardo and sister Francesca Savino. Antonio is survived by his children, Annamaria Toscano and Kriston Paisley of Sicklerville, Sabatino and Gertrudis Ilardo of Middletown, Caterina Lynch of Montauk, L.I., Irene Rosciglione and her husband, Antonio of Manalapan, Tiziana Elliot and her husband, Lyden of Tuckerton, and Carla Alejandro and her husband, Miguel of Sicklerville; 19 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; brothers, Mario and Luciano Ilardo; and sister, Concetta Ilardo.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, September 18, 2022 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Funeral Home on Monday, September 19, 2022 at 9:30 AM for the procession to his 10:30 AM Funeral Mass at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township. Entombment will follow in St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, One Honey Locust Drive, Lakewood.
