Obituary of Mary Cocliff
Mary Cocliff, 92, of Jackson passed away peacefully at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township on Tuesday, September 20, 2022. Mary was born in Yorkshire, England and came to the United States in 1963 settling in Union City. She had lived in East Rutherford and then moved to the Villages in Howell. Mary retired as a lunch aide for the Freehold Township Board of Education and had worked at Burlington Road School and Clifton T. Barkalow School. Prior to that, she worked as a waitress at hotels in New York City. Mary volunteered for the CentraState Auxiliary and was a member of the Red Hat Society. Most of all, family was everything to her and she was affectionally known as, Nanan.
Mary was predeceased by her husband, Edward in 2005. She is survived by her children, Sue Piluso and her husband, Jack of Jackson and Edward Cocliff and his wife, Kathleen of Jackson; five grandchildren, Lisa Grimshaw and her husband, Mike, Michele Piplos and her husband, Stelios, Sean Edward Cocliff, Justin Coecliff and his wife, Stephanie, and Cynthia Bento and her husband, Sergio; twelve greatgrandchildren, Megan, Kayla, Jenna, Alexa, Nicholas, Sophia, Kaiya, Gio, Gabby, Giulana, Selena, and Joseph.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, September 26, 2022 from 9:30 AM until the procession to her 10:30 AM Funeral Mass at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township.
