John Joseph Pizzimenti, 75, of Freehold Township passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was born, raised and lived in Brooklyn, moved to Manalapan in 1986 and settled here in 2020. After graduating from high school, John was drafted into the United States Army and served proudly during the Vietnam War until being honorably discharged with the distinguished ranking of Sergeant. He worked in the banking industry for many years, most recently as a compliance officer for Alma Bank in Queens prior to his retirement in 2010. John enjoyed trips to Atlantic City and Parx Casino to play the slot machines and solving crossword puzzles. He loved to cook and watch old movies and Fox News, but nothing compared to his greatest treasure of being a grandfather.
He was predeceased by his wife, Susie Pizzimenti in 2022. John is survived by his daughter, Lisa Bronne and her husband, Gary of Sayreville; Christine Bonner and her husband, T.J. of Catonsville, MD, and Victoria Andreczski and her husband, Adam of Freehold Township; and six grandchildren, Joseph, Samantha, Lucas, James, Caitlyn and Austin.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Thursday, September 29, 2022 for the procession to his 11:30 AM Funeral Mass at St. Rose of Lima Church,16 McLean Street, Freehold. Interment will follow to Brigadier General William C. Doyle NJ Veterans Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Arneytown.
