Obituary of Angelina H. Maltese

Angelina H. Maltese, 99, of Cranbury passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at The Elms at Cranbury.  She was born and raised in South Plainfield, and had lived in Sarasota, FL before settling in Monroe in 2004.  A great cook, she will be remembered by many as the owner of Lee’s Restaurant in Piscataway.  Angelina was family-oriented- an adoring wife, loving mother, and caring grandmother and great grandmother.  

She was predeceased by her husband, Gaspare Maltese.  Angelina is survived by her sons, Vincent P. Maltese and his wife, Suzanne of Tinton Falls and Thomas R. Maltese and his wife, Rosemarie of Waretown; five grandchildren, Adam V. Maltese and his wife, Andrea of Bloomington, IN, Tina P. Woodward and her husband, Gary of Holmdel; Stacey A. Willis and her husband, Philip of Eastford, CT, Matthew Maltese and his wife, Catherine of Millstone, and Michael Maltese of Singapore; and ten great grandchildren. 

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, October 17, 2022 from 9:00 to 10:00 AM followed by her 10:30 AM Funeral Mass at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township.  Interment will be in St. Gertrude’s Cemetery, 53 Inman Avenue, Colonia.  In lieu of flowers, kindly make a donation to a charity of your choice or arrange for a mass to be said in her name.  For information, directions, or to leave condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com
