Obituary of Karen Lynn Bell
Karen Lynn Bell, 61, of Lewes, DE passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on, Wednesday, October 5, 2022. Karen was born in Jersey City and was raised in Old Bridge. She had lived in Jackson and Freehold prior to settling in Lewes, DE in 2019. Karen was a beautician and hairdresser at Crosstown Traffic in East Brunswick prior to retiring to become a fulltime mom. Once taking on this roll, she embraced it with great passion. Karen became an amazing mom and grandmother and was the queen of entertaining. Along with her husband, they have traveled from Paris to Hawaii and the Caribbean to Alaska and everywhere in between. They also relished in their time RVing with friends. Karen was a loving wife, adoring mother, and doting grandmother.
Karen is survived by her husband of forty years, John Bell; two sons, John Bell and his wife, Kyle of Hamilton and Matthew Bell and his wife, Tia of Jackson; two grandchildren, Livia and Jaxson; and a sister, Debra Szymczyk of Jackson.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Freehold Township) on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 and Wednesday, October 12, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at 11:00 AM for the procession to her 12:00 Noon Funeral Mass at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township. Interment will follow in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
