Obituary of Rhea Drucker

Rhea Drucker, 83, of Freehold, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. She was born in New York City and lived in Brooklyn before settling in Freehold Township in 1969. In her younger years, Rhea was a member of the Hadassah. When her children were growing up, she worked at Freehold Township Schools and at Central Jersey Bank & Trust Company. Rhea also worked as an educator at nursery schools, where she had a significant impact on children’s early education.  Several of her nursery school students have kept in touch over the years, which brought much joy to Rhea.

Rhea held her loved ones close, still spending time with childhood friends and women she met and formed a bond with when she moved to Freehold Township. Her greatest treasure was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. All Rhea wanted was for her loved ones to be happy.

She was predeceased by her son, Mitchell Drucker, on October 8, 2022; and sister, Phyllis Joy Bierman on April 29, 2020. Rhea is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Abraham Drucker of Freehold; sons, Steven Drucker of Toms River and Kenneth Drucker and his wife, Colleen of Howell; three grandchildren, David Drucker and his wife, Jessica, Eric Drucker, and Jenna Marchant and her husband, Billy; two great-grandchildren, Mila, and Tessa; sister, Lydia Greene and her husband, Fred; and several others including the families of McKenna and Janaki.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township, on Monday, October 24, 2022, from 4:00 to 7:30 PM with a funeral service to follow at 7:30 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 2:00 PM Graveside Service on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at Brigadier General William C. Doyle NJ Veterans Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Arneytown.
