Obituary of Michael F. Rainone

 

Michael F. Rainone, 100, of Howell passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2022.  He was born and raised in Newark and had lived in Avenel and Wildwood before moving to Howell in 2019. Michael was a proud Navy Veteran serving our Country during World War II. He was a diesel truck mechanic for PSE&G for 35 years. After his retirement he would frequent Wildwood and was a caretaker at the Milano Hotel. Michael took great solace in going to the beach and his time in Wildwood. He loved to stay active and rode his bike until the age of 95. Michael would enjoy his time with his family and loved doing crossword puzzles.

 

He is predeceased by his wife, Marian Rainone; sister, Ann Ferrara and brother, Alexander Rainone. Michael is survived by his two daughters, Joan Kopko of Toms River and Janis Rainone and her partner, Andre Benacchio of Howell; sister, Louise Miele; Partner of 30 years, Ann Milano of Avenel and many nieces’ nephews and cousins.

 

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, October 27, 2022, from 3:00 to 6:30 PM with his funeral service to follow.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 12:00 PM graveside service at Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington on Friday, October 28, 2022. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Michael’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105.
