Obituary of William N. Butterfield

William N. Butterfield, 93, of Jackson passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Bartley Healthcare, Jackson. He was born in Rutland, VT. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy. While serving, he met his late wife, Joan, and they married in 1953. He and Joan raised their family in Holmdel. He worked for NL Industries in Perth Amboy for 28 years, retiring at age 55. They then lived in Vermont and The Villages in Florida before returning to NJ in 2021. William was always active. He enjoyed doing carpentry work and playing golf.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Joan Butterfield; and his son, William J. Butterfield. William is survived by his daughter, Sheila Ryan and her husband, Thomas of Freehold; son, Gregory S. Butterfield and his wife, Kasia of Quechee, VT; grandchildren, Kimberly Laiken and her husband, Jeremy, Kayla Sanguiliano and her husband, Albie, Ethan Butterfield, and Lucas Butterfield and his wife, Shina; and 4 great grandchildren.
