Obituary of Gregory S. Lamb

Gregory S. Lamb, 61, of Freehold Township passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 4, 2022.  Greg was born in Harrisburg, PA and raised in Berwyn, PA.  He graduated from the University of Delaware and earned his bachelor’s degree with a major in finance and a minor in economics. Greg then moved to Mendham, NJ before settling in Freehold Township in 1988.  He grew up playing ice hockey, played in college, passed the game to his son and was still playing today.  Greg was an avid golfer and animals just seemed to love him.  He relished in his time at Disney World with his family, on his favorite ride the Carousel of Progress, and falling asleep in random spots.  Yet most of all, he loved his wife of 35 years, adored his children, and savored being called “PeePa”.

Greg was predeceased by his father, Maurice Washington Lamb, Jr.  He is survived by his wife, Annette Lamb; three children, Justin Lamb and his wife, Stephanie of Toms River, Derek Lamb and his partner, Curran Latas of Winter Garden, FL, and Josie Lamb and her fiancé, Garrison LeGros of Freehold; a grandson, Lucca; his mother, Frances Nadine Lamb of Howell; a brother, Jeff Lamb and his wife, Heather of Berkeley, CA; in-laws, Ron and Beatrice Schandt of Jackson; brothers-in-law, Peter Josephson and his wife, Christine, and Michael Josephson and his wife, Jessica, all of Jackson; sister-in-law, Lisa DiLisso and her husband, David of Langhorne, PA;  nieces and nephews, Connor, Emily, Samantha, Cheyanne, Kaitlyn, Damien, Julian and Sophia;  and three faithful canine companions, Zeus, Kona, and Gus.

All arrangements are private at this time by the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township.  A memorial service will be held at a date and time to be announced in the future.  For those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to Monmouth County SPCA, 260 Wall Street, Eatontown, NJ 07724 of Here.  For information or condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com.
