Obituary of Pietro Cutrona

Pietro Cutrona, 83, of Lincroft passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank.  He was born in Marineo, Sicily, Italy and came to the United States in 1965.  Pete lived in Brooklyn, Newark and Kearny before settling here in 1985.  He was a dedicated worker as a machine operator for Mannkraft Corporation in Newark for 39 years.  Pete enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden, making homemade wine and traveling, but his greatest joy in life was taking care of his family and being “Nonno” to his beloved grandchildren. 


Pete was predeceased by his son, Michael Cutrona in 2021; his brother, Serafino Cutrona; and three sisters, Rosalie Mancuso, Providence Pecarao and Frances Pulizzotto.  He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Doreen Cutrona; son, Salvatore Cutrona and his wife, Kimberly of Howell; daughter, Christine Cutrona and her fiancé, Jamie Mayer of Elizabeth; daughter-in-law, Shannon Leigh Cutrona of Howell; four grandchildren, Peter Emmaleigh, Perry and Ryleigh; his twin brother, Giussepe Cutrona and his wife, Maria of Queens, NY; and many nieces and nephews. 


Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, November 20, 2022 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass on Monday, November 21, 2022 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, One Phalanx Road, Colts Neck.  Entombment will follow in St. Gertrude’s Cemetery, 53 Inman Avenue, Colonia.  For information, directions or to leave condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com
