Obituary of Anna Gerbasi

Anna Gerbasi, 86, of Howell passed away at home on Thursday, December 1, 2022.  She was born and raised in the city of Piedimonte Matese, in the province of Caserta, Italy.  In 1957 she came to the United States and lived in the Bronx and Queens before settling here in 1999.  Anna loved to cook and shop.  She also enjoyed tending to her flower garden. 

Anna was predeceased by her beloved husband, Francesco Gerbasi in September of this year; daughter, Maria Rosaria Gerbasi; and two sisters, Angelina and Maria.  She is survived by her son, Anthony Gerbasi and his wife, Holly of Howell; grandson, Frankie Gerbasi of Jackson; granddaughters, Danielle Gerbasi and Nicole Gerbasi of Howell; two great grandsons, Giovanni and Prince; a brother, Peter Altieri and his wife, Rose of Yonkers; and adoring nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, December 4, 2022 from 12:00 to 4:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to gather at 9:00 AM on Monday, December 5, 2022 for the procession to her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at the Church of St. Veronica, 4215 Route 9 North, Howell.  Interment will follow in Mount St. Mary’s Cemetery, 172-00 Booth Memorial Avenue, Flushing, NY 11365.
