Obituary of Dominic J. Bisignano

Dominic J. Bisignano, 90, of Jackson, NJ and Fort Myers Beach, FL passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, got married and raised his family on Staten Island, NY. Dominic then lived in both Jackson and Fort Myers Beach. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Dominic attended St. John’s University where he received his Undergraduate and Graduate degrees. He was a dedicated educator and administrator during his career with the New York City Board of Education. He continued at Wagner College as an Adjunct Professor teaching English until retirement. Dominic was happiest with family. Amongst his favorite joys was supporting his grandchildren’s journey to adulthood while imparting his wisdom each step of the way. Dominic will be remembered for the love he shared with family, his infectious sense of humor, his passion for the game of tennis and a daily McDonald’s breakfast. Dominic was a devoted husband, loving father, pop, and brother.

He was predeceased by his sister, Anna DellaCamera. Dominic is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Eugenia Bisignano; children, son Jonathan Bisignano and Denise, and daughter Cathryn Camassa and her husband John; grandchildren, Michael, Christina, and Victoria; brother, Frank Bisignano and his wife Mary; and many loving family members and friends.

A memorial gathering will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, December 15, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM with his memorial service to take place at 12:00 PM.
