Obituary of Edward Howard Barr

Edward Howard Barr, 74, of Naples, Florida passed away on Monday, December 5, 2022 at Horacio Oduber Hospital, Aruba.  Edward was born and raised in Little Neck section of Queens and also lived in New Jersey, California and most recently Florida.

Ed enlisted in the United States Navy after high school.  He began his corporate career on Wall Street as a stock broker,  and was a sales executive for multiple enterprises spanning the last three decades.  In his leisure he was a dining aficionado, enjoyed biking, golf, and spending quality time with his family.  He had an affinity for sports cars, rock ‘n roll, traveling abroad, and making everyone around him laugh.  His daily enthusiasm and joy will be missed. 

Edward was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Mary Barr. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Barr; two children, James Barr and his wife, Meagan of Tinton Falls and Danielle Scanlan and her husband, James of Manchester; stepson, Justin Guadagno and his wife, Katie of Voorhes; 5 grandchildren, Cameron, Callie, Maverick, Bennett and Holden; siblings, Frank Barr, Jr and his wife, Carol and Bill Barr.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, December 22, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:30 PM with his funeral service to follow.
