Obituary of Doreth E. Donohue

Doreth E. Donohue, 99, of Howell passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at CentraStateMedical Center, Freehold Township. She was born and raised in the Bronx, and lived in Yonkers, NY and Closter, NJ before settling in Freehold Township. Doreth moved to Surrey Downs in Howell in 2000. She was a former member and deacon at Old Tennent Presbyterian Church, a member of the Christian Woman's Club, and a volunteer at CentraState Medical Center. Doreth enjoyed gardening, spending time at her farm in Pennsylvania and at Saranac Lake in the Adirondacks. She was a seasoned traveler and had visited Hawaii, Ireland and Alaska to name a few.

She was predeceased by her husband, William Joseph Donohue, Sr. in 2001; her sister, Beth Urband; and daughter-in-law, Diane Donohue. Doreth is survived by her children, Barbara Wondenberg of Brick, William Donohue, Jr. and his wife, Gina LoBianco of Manchester, James Donohue and his wife, Bonnie of Freehold Township, and Thomas Donohue of Menifee, CA; grandchildren, Brooke Morris, Blair Brandt, Ryan Donohue, Shane Donohue, Quinn Donohue, Thomas Donohue and Steven Donohue; and great grandchildren, Peter, Matthew, Madison, Joshua, Keira, Claire, Jacob and Liam.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, Freehold Township on Thursday, December 22, 2022 from 2:00 to 5:30 PM with her funeral service to follow at 5:30 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her interment at Old Tennent Cemetery, Manalapan on Friday, December 23, 2022 at 11:00 AM.
