Obituary of Allan Epstein
Allan Epstein, 76, of Freehold, NJ passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Centra State Medical Center, Freehold. He was born in Paris France and was raised in Irvington and had lived in Kentucky, Irvington, and Beachwood before settling to Freehold 30 years ago. Allan attended Murray State University in Kentucky where he received his bachelor’s degree and continued his education at Seton Hall obtaining his Master of Business Administration.
He was an U.S. Army Veteran serving in Vietnam as an officer in at the second lieutenant rank, and also a parachutist who received 6 medals for his service including the Bronze Star medal. He was extremely passionate about serving our Country and always kept a connection with the people he served with. In his spare time Alan enjoyed playing card games, tennis, golfing and cheering on the Yankees. He took great pleasure in practicing judo, ballroom dancing and riding motorcycles.
Alan is predeceased by his parents, Abraham, and Yvonne Epstein. He is survived by his two children, Jennifer McGarry of Collingswood and Andrew McGarry and his wife, Renata Ostrowicki of Mullica Hill.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on January 4, 2023 from 11:00 to 12:30 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service at 12:30 PM at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Interment will follow in Brigadier General William C. Doyle New Jersey Veterans Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Arneytown.
