Obituary of Glenn James Okulewicz

Glenn James Okulewicz, 61, of Jackson passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune.  Glenn was born in New Brunswick, raised in Edison, and lived in Howell before settling here in 2019.  For over 30 years, he was a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service in South River.  Glenn enjoyed life to the fullest.  He loved to dance and didn’t need music to have fun.  Glenn indulged in shopping, traveling everywhere, and cruising the islands.  He was a beloved uncle, a kindhearted and loyal man who would help anyone who needed him, and whose energy  would light up a room.  

Glenn was predeceased by his partner of 31 years, Phil Smolinski; and his grandparents, Helen and William Palmer and John and Viola Okulewicz.  Glenn is survived by his parents, Stanley and Marion Okulewicz of Manchester; siblings, Gary Okulewicz of Manchester, and Guy Okulewicz and his wife, Susan of Middletown, DE; niece and nephew, Jennifer Tutterow and her husband, Justin of Middletown, DE, and Michael Okulewicz of Bear, DE; great niece and nephew, Jackson Tutterow and Judith Tutterow; his fiancé, Dominick Caminiti; and many loving and longtime friends. 

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 from 3:00 to 6:30 PM with his funeral service to follow.  Interment will be private.  For information, directions or to leave messages of sympathy to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com
