Obituary of Sherry L. Doyle
Sherry L. Doyle, 58 of Brick Township passed away at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital on Sunday, February 5, 2023 with her beloved family by her side. Sherry was born in Passaic and had lived in St. Petersburg, FL and Toms River moving to Brick Township in 1988. She graduated from Toms River North High School in 1982 and Georgian Court College in 1986. Sherry taught preschool from 1986 to 1993 at the Jane Adams Daycare Center in Toms River. Most recently she worked for the Brick Township Board of Education as a counselor for BEST (a before and after school program). Sherry met the love of her life Tim in 1986 and they were married on July 7, 1990. Together with their two sons Timmy and Shawn they shared a wonderful and loving life. Sherry leaves everlasting memories with her family and friends. She loved life and always made everyone feel special and welcome.
Sherry was predeceased by her father, Richard Hopkins in 2010. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Timothy J. Doyle, Sr.; her two sons, Timothy J. Doyle Jr., and Shawn Patrick Doyle; her mother, Donna MacMillan of Quakertown, PA; her sister, Denise Brower and her husband, Michael of Browns Mills, NJ, and her brother, Richard Hopkins and his wife, Sharon of Quakertown, PA; her nephew, John Morton, III and his fiancée, Brittany Butler; and her two nieces, Olivia Hopkins and Ella Hopkins.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, February 10, 2023 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 11:00 AM Funeral Mass at the Church of the Visitation, 730 Lynnwood Avenue, Brick Township on Saturday, February 11, 2023. Entombment will follow in Ocean County Memorial Park, 1722 Silverton Road, Toms River.
