Obituary of Louise Murino

Louise Murino, 96, of Jackson passed away Thursday, February 9, 2023 at The Manor, Freehold Township.  Louise was born, raised and lived in Brooklyn, moved to Manalapan for a period of time, and settled here in 2013.  A woman of many talents, Louise enjoyed knitting and cooking, and was an artist from drawing to painting to sewing.  She enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, as well as playing Bingo. Louise was also known for the time she spent singing in the choir with Janos at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church where she was a parishioner. 

Louise was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Murino; grandson, David Labbate; and brother Theodore Ruscillo.  She is survived by her son, Matthew Murino and his wife, Grace of Jackson; daughters, Joanne Murino of Brooklyn, and Michele Labbate and her husband, Vincent of Jackson; eight grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. 

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, February 12, 2023 from 12:00 Noon to 4:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Monday, February 13, 2023 at 9:30 AM for the procession to her 10:30 AM Funeral Mass at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 16 McLean Street, Freehold, NJ.  Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, 3620 Tilden Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11203.  For those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to The Manor Health and Rehabilitation Center, 689 West Main Street, Freehold, NJ 07728 or to the VNA Health Group, 23 Main Street, Suite D1, Holmdel, NJ 07733.
