Obituary of Antonio Pistola

Tony Pistola, 61, of Marlboro NJ passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, NY.  He was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY where he met and married his soulmate Joan, and had their three children  until settling in New Jersey in 1994.  Many people knew Tony from Cozy Corner, The Forest Hills Coffee Shop which he ran with his dad.  In 2000, he started a new business, New Era Car Wash in Brick NJ.  Later on he started other real estate ventures.  Tony always educated himself and figured things out.  He loved vacationing in Myrtle Beach, SC, Aruba and Mexico, with friends and family. He was an active parishioner at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church in Marlboro NJ.  Tony’s Sunday ritual consisted of church service, perusing the flea market followed by cooking breakfast for the family. Tony was an adored husband, father, and Papa to his wife, children, and beloved grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents, Kyriacos and Anna Pistola; and his brothers-in-law, Dominick Masseria and Andy Baddish.  He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Joan Pistola; daughters, Danielle Sidiropoulos and her husband, Dimitri of Cranford NJ, and DeAnna Hills and her husband, Ryan of Howell NJ, son, Anthony Pistola of Marlboro NJ; three grandchildren Luca, Elliana and Peyton; brother, Joseph Pistola of Brooklyn, NY; sister, Theresa Isser of Long Island, NY; and in-laws, Laura Baddish, Dorothy Garuccio and her husband, Anthony and Janet Tamborra and her husband, Ralph; and numerous nieces nephews, cousins, and dear friends. 

Tony was the kind of person who was instantly loved by anyone who met him and would go out of his way to help anyone in need. The wonderful memories he left behind will be cherished by many and his simple legacy will continue to live on - to be good people and raise good people. He was a blessing who touched the lives of many and people looked to him for advice and guidance often. He will be missed immensely. May his memory be eternal.
