Obituary of Sarina Bonomo
Sarina Bonomo, 90, of Howell passed away at home on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, with her loving family by her side. She was born and raised in the Park Slope section of Brooklyn and settled here fifteen years ago. Sarina worked as an administrative assistant at CNA Insurance in Lower Manhattan. A woman of strong faith and a devout Catholic, she was a longtime parishioner of St. Frances de Chantal Catholic Church in Boro Park, Brooklyn, and the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine in Freehold Township. Sarina enjoyed watching the ETWN channel daily and looked forward to praying the rosary. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family. Most of all, she was proud of grandchildren, and loved watching them grow into adults.
Sarina was predeceased by her husband, Anthony Bonomo; parents, Andrew and Providenza Pitaressi; siblings, Angelina Bivetto, Frances DiMeglio and Salvatore Pitaressi; and her beloved cousin, Frances DiMatteo. She is survived by her daughter, Camille Cugini and her husband, Henry of Freehold Township; sons, Anthony Bonomo and his wife, Rosemarie of Hamilton, Robert Bonomo and his wife, Laura of Berkeley Heights, and David Bonomo and his wife, Mary Ann of Summit; twelve grandchildren, Melissa, Michael, Daniel, Anthony, Thomas, Luke, Gregory, Serena, Laura, David, Jack and Michael; and four great grandchildren, Giovanna, Alessia, Isabella and Thomas.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, March 12, 2023 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:30 AM Funeral Mass on Monday, March 13, 2023 at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township. Interment to follow at Old Tennent Cemetery, 454 Tennent Road, Manalapan.
