Obituary of Vivian Manfrini
Vivian Manfrini, 101, of Howell, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, March 9, 2023. Vivian was born, raised and lived her whole life in the Bronx. She moved to the Villages in Howell to be close to family in 1996. Vivian was a sewing machine operator for The Cindy Dress Company and was a member of the I.L.G.W.U. She met her husband at the Roseland Ballroom in New York and their love bloomed from there. They enjoyed traveling to his hometown of Gaeta each year, first by ocean liner and later by plane. Together they enjoyed “la Spiaggia” (the beach), travelling around Italy, and gatherings with friends. In New Jersey, Vivian loved celebrations with family, trips to the beach to get some seafood, and strolling on the boardwalk. Aunt Viv was an excellent cook and baker and was known for her lemon cookies. She relished her time at the Howell Senior Center, participating in trips and activities. She especially valued her friends and outstanding staff there.
Vivian was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Manfrini; three brothers, Pete, Frank, and Nick Laterza; and two sisters, Sadie Laterza and Laura Conforti. She is survived by four nieces, Anne Marie Meybohn of Farmingdale, Grace LaForge and her husband, Larry of Green Brook, Bridget Mattera of Myrtle Beach and Grace Laterza of Riverdale, NY; great nieces and nephews, Orin Meybohn, Jr. and Amy Flannigan of Jackson, Laura Blustein and her son, Noah of Farmingdale, Allison Reed and her husband, Foster and their daughter, Cassie of Freehold, Frank Meybohn of Rahway, Geoffrey LaForge and his wife, Kristen and daughter, Genevieve of Rahway; and her caregiver, Kerry Lloyd.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, March 24, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 7:30 PM with her funeral service to follow at 7:30 PM . The procession to her entombment St. Raymond’s Cemetery, 2600 Lafayette Ave, The Bronx, NY, will be from the funeral home on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 9:00 AM.
