Obituary of William Tortoriello
William Tortoriello, 78, of Howell passed away at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune on Monday, March 13, 2023, with his family by his side. He was born in Newark and was raised in Bloomfield before settling in Howell in 1987. William took great pride in being an electrician and a was a true do-it-yourself person and could teach himself how to fix, repair or restore just about anything. A classic car enthusiast, William adored his 1938 Chevy Master Deluxe. He was proud of his Italian Heritage and treasured his family. He poured his energy into the roles he deemed most sacred, Husband, Father, and Pop-Pop. In keeping William’s memory alive remember his great sense of humor and always appreciate the little things in life.
William is predeceased by his parents, William and Ethel Tortoriello and Uncle Mickey Tortoriello. He is survived by his wife, Linda Tortoriello; two sons, William G. Tortoriello III of Howell and Daniel A. Tortoriello and his wife, Jaclyn of Howell; four grandchildren, Sofia, Dominic, Daniella and Jenna; sister, Beverly Sandomeno of Wall.
A Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, March 19, 2023, from 12:00 to 4:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Veronica's Catholic Church, 4215 Highway 9 North, Howell on Monday, March 20, 2023. Interment will follow in St. Rose Cemetery, 299 Freehold-Englishtown Road, Freehold Township.
