Obituary of Anna M. Wilk

Anna M. Wilk, 92, of Freehold passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was born and raised in Jersey City and had lived in Linden before settling here. Anna was a member of the Dominican Sisters of New York City, Linden Ambulance Corp Ladies Auxiliary and Respect for Life at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine. As a woman of strong faith, Anna would pray the rosary multiple times a day and was very spiritual.  She was a fountain of love, wisdom and compassion. Anna was the heart and soul of her family.

She is predeceased by her husband, George A. Wilk; and brother, Edward Brown. Anna is survived by her four children, Thomas Wilk and his wife, Barbara of Hillsborough, Karen Panettiere and her husband, Thomas of Freehold Township, George Wilk and his wife, Patricia of Manalapan, and William Wilk and his wife, Annette of Toms River; nine grandchildren, Ashley, Paul, Dominic, Kristina, Katie, Mike, Niko, Christopher, Dean and Michael; and two great grandchildren, Maddy and Jacob.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, March 23, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township on Friday, March 24, 2023. Entombment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery, 53 Inman Avenue, Colonia, NJ 07067.
